Welcome to Beaverton Jr/Sr High School, home of the Beavers! We take pride in the fact that Beaverton Jr/Sr High School offers a safe, comprehensive learning community comprised of approximately 500 students in grades 7-12. Our faculty consists of twenty-five teachers, one principal, one assistant principal/athletic director, one library specialist, one counselor, two para professionals, and two secretaries.

In addition to traditional middle and high school classes, our students have opportunities to Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs with Clare-Gladwin RESD to receive vocational training. We also have many students who dual enroll at MMCC, Delta College, and Central Michigan University. Students are provided support to ensure their success. Our goal is to graduate well-rounded students who are well prepared to take on the next chapter of their lives as valuable citizens.

Beaverton Jr/Sr High School, along with Beaverton Elementary School, are unique in our area because we offer our instructors one hour each week of uninterrupted time to collaborate on curriculum and instructional issues through our Professional Learning Communities. We feel that utilizing this time and focusing this time on instructional issues will strengthen our overall delivery of our curriculum to our students. We are monitoring the success of these PLC’s through the use of formative data we are gathering on our students’ academic success on a continuous basis.

Athletics is always a focal point in our community and our involvement in the Jack Pine Conference gives our student-athletes the opportunity to compete with other area schools in baseball, basketball, bowling, cross country, football, wrestling, softball, track & field, and volleyball.

Our students also participate in Business Professionals of America (where we annually have national award winners in a number of business-related categories), Student Government, Spanish Club, Quiz Bowl, Science Olympiad, Head-to-Head, and other non-athletic organizations. Our award-winning band and choir programs continue to bring pride and recognition to our school and community.
