  • There will be a brief meeting for freshmen boys who plan on playing basketball Thursday at lunch in Room 160. See Coach Govitz for more information.
  • Voting for King and Queen will take place during 3rd and 4th hours today. If you do NOT have a 3rd or 4th hour, please vote at lunch!
  • Please do not mess with the Homecoming results board, this is a friendly competition and does not need to be ruined by student's poor choices! Thanks, Mrs. Hubble
  • It's Pizza Pizza Time!!! The Music Department will be selling Little Caesar Pizza Kits from September 19 - October 15th. Place your order with any band, color guard or choir member.
  • Students: Are you falling behind with your course work? Do you need extra help in any classes? Would you like time to work on Moodle, do research, write essays? There is an academic after school program just for you Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3:15-4:15 in the media center. The program will begin Monday, September 24th. Please see Mrs. Hargrove to sign up or if you have any questions. Remember that time passes and that we want you to pass too!!!
  • If you are interested in joining BPA, applications are available from Ms. Roe or Mrs. Ewert. Applications are due on Friday, September 21. To be eligible for BPA, you must currently be in a business class or previously been a member or have taken a business class. See a BPA Officer for more information: Drew Minkina, McKenzie Snooks, Cora Fassett, or Marc Snooks.


Counseling News:   

Adam Hamlin will be here on Tuesday Sept 25th during 1st lunch, and Thursday the 27th during 2nd lunch. All Educational Talent Search students need to meet with him in front of the library.

The PSAT/NMSQT will be offered on October 10th during the school day for Juniors only. This test is great preparation for the SAT and provides an opportunity to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship competition. The test will cost $16 and spots are limited to the first 25 who sign up and pay with Mrs. Phillips. Don't delay, claim your spot now!

Alma College will be here on Monday, September 24th at 2:00. Any students interested in hearing more about opportunities at Alma need to sign up with Mrs. Phillips.

A representative from the University of Michigan will be here on Thursday, September 27th at 12:30. Any interested students need to sign up with Mrs. Phillips.

The National Guard will be here on Thursday the 27th during senior lunch. Stop by the table in front of the cafeteria for more information on how the National Guard can work for you!


Events results:   Varsity Volleyball lost at Houghton Lake in 4 sets.

Events for tonight:   MS Volleyball plays at Harrison tonight.  JV Football also plays at Harrison tonight (bus leaves at 4:45).
