  • It is finally the 1st day of Semester 2! Make sure if you are attending the correct classes.
  • Coffee Break today after 2nd hour!
  • There will be no Academic After school on Monday 1/21/19 due to a staff meeting. Please make arrangements for a ride home. 
  • Spanish Club meeting will be Wednesday, Jan. 23rd during 2nd lunch in Hache’s room.
  • Band/Choir Members - Donations for upcoming festival are needed by January 28th. Please bring donations to the band room ASAP.
  • Attention Juniors & Seniors- The prom committee needs your assistance with our 2019 prom them.  Please submit a favorite photo of yourself by 2/6/19 to Mrs. Arndt at the office or email her sarndt@beavertonruralschools.com  Our theme is “Hollywood Red Carpet” and each of you will be our stars!
  • A softball clinic for grades 9-12 takes place Sat. Jan. 26th from 10-12 at the elementary. The clinic for grades 5-8 will be the same day from 12-2 at the elementary. Cost is $5.  See Mr. Wentworth for details.
  • Attention all Football Players grades 7-12. The annual Football Program pizza party is on Sunday, January 20, at the Beaverton Tavern, from 3pm-6pm. Cost is $7.50 person. Check out the January Newsletter or the Football Facebook or Twitter sites for more details. Hope to see you there.
  • It's time for the BAC Youth Talent show! If you sing, dance, play an instrument, etc... This is your chance to show the community your skills!! The show will be Sunday Feb. 24th, please sign up in Mrs. Hubble's room if you are interested!!! Great prizes are available!!!


Counseling News:   A rep from Baker College will be here on Jan. 22nd at 2 pm, sign up with Mrs. Phillips

Interested in pursuing medicine? Think you might be? OsteoCHAMPS is offering a scholarship to pay for a week long camp at Michigan State University to learn more about the field of medicine and health care. See Mrs. Phillips for more information.

Events results:    A late congratulations to our youth wrestlers for their tournament last weekend-

Justin Wood 4th, Seth Onweller 3rd, Garett Muma 3rd and good luck to them tomorrow!   


The Beaverton Boys Basketball teams took two of three from Harrison last night. The varsity won 51-35, led by Trent Reed's 18 points. Jarret Inscho added 11 points, Brayde Keeley pulled down 10 rebounds and Logan Gerow grabbed eight boards. The JV-A team fell 49-46. Cameron Mishler led all scorers with 23 points. And the JV-B squad overcame a slow start to defeat the Hornets 60-30. Mitchell Hall and Noah Coffey scored 15 points each, with Hall adding nine rebounds; Ethan Wolfe chipped in 10 points.


Upcoming Events:    Girls Basketball plays at Harrison tonight. Wrestling will be attending an invite at Mio this weekend.  Bowling will be competing at Houghton Lake tomorrow.
