Announcements: June 3, 2022

1. Mackinac Island Field Trip. We are leaving this Saturday promptly at 6:30 am. Being 10
minutes early is the best. We are not waiting for late arrivals. Drop off at the front of the
school building. Bus lists are posted in front of Ms. Coughlin's room. The weather is
looking like high 50's, so dress appropriately, and wear comfortable shoes for walking.
Don't forget money for lunch and dinner and any souvenirs you would like to purchase.
We should be back to the school for pick up at 9:00 pm.
2. Clare Police Department is holding a Youth Police Academy this summer, July 11-21st.
Sessions will be held Monday-Thursday from 8am-4pm. Flyers are available in the office or
please see Misty Johnson in Room 232 for more information.
3. Wrestling meeting for 9th -11th graders on Monday in room 234. Please get your lunch
first.
7th and 8th graders, Monday during your lunch there will also be a meeting for you in
room 234. Get your lunch first.
4. Afternoon CTE student, you need to turn your chromebooks, chargers, and bag into the
office on Tuesday before leaving school.
5. LAST CALL for sales on Beaverton Jr/Sr High School yearbooks! Final copy count was
submitted, but a few extra books were ordered and will be sold on a FIRST COME FIRST
SERVE BASIS. Submit $50 to Mrs. Jorgensen in room 146 cash or check, or visit
www.yearbookforever.com to order THIS WEEK! Yearbooks will be distributed in the fall.
6. Please excuse HS Band @ 10:45 am to create a tunnel/serenade students going to STATE
track meet.
7. The Music Boosters will meet Friday (June 3) @ 7 pm in the band room to wrap the year
up.
8. JV softball players turn in uniforms to Mr. Wentworth as soon as possible.
9. Attention Football Players grades 7th-11th: Summer Weight Room Hours begin on
Sunday, June 5th. Lifting will begin at 6pm and conclude at 7pm. Bring appropriate shoes
for indoor workouts. You may also bring cleats for outdoor activities.
10. MS Track end of year celebration in Mrs. Hubble’s room after school today; 3:30-4:15.
Please bring uniforms to turn in.

the booster meeting.

Youth Police Academy sponsored by the Clare Police Department. For ages 11 and up. The dates are from June 11th - 21st, 2022. It is Monday - Thursday for two weeks from 8am to 4pm each day.

MS Track MegaStart Meet @ Shepherd, meet starts 2:45 pm. Good luck to the following MS
track athletes competing in the MegaStart Meet today: Landon Love, Shaun McWilliams, Layla
Stewart, Myah Hubble, Trinity Danielak, and Gracie Flansburgh.
Events Results: A few members of the track team competed at the Northern Michigan Meet of
Champions at Gaylord last night. Top finishers for the Beavers were: Noah Coffey - 1st in the
high jump and 400, 2nd in the 100 and long jump. William Warner - 4th in the pole vault. and
Tessa Wohlschlegel - 2nd in the 3200 and 5th in the 1600.
Varisty Softball won 10-0 against Harrison.

Anatomy and physiology students finished up the year with an examination of the fetal pig. These students have worked very hard all year and have learned so much about how all of the organ systems work together in complex and amazing ways. I am very proud of these students and their dedication to such a tough course!
Softball beats Harrison 10-0 to advance on in District play in Meridian on Friday at 1:00 vs. Farwell. Clare and Meridian play at 3:00 with District Championship scheduled at 5:00. GO RED!

1. Today, May 31st during WIN times: Female students will report directly to the library during WIN class to listen to guest speakers.

Beaverton Memorial Day parade. It is very important we honor those who gave their lives to keep us free. Thank you to Mrs. Cathy Kintner and the Beaverton band for participating in this event.

Baseball Game today at Hemlock has been canceled due to unplayable field conditions. This has been rescheduled for Wednesday in Hemlock at 5:00 for one game only. GO RED!

1. The Beaverton Memorial Day Parade is Monday, May 30th @ 1:30 pm. Bands (7-12),
Color guard and Choir meet in the band room at NOON on Monday. A bus will take us to
the lineup. The parade route runs east on Brown Street to north M-18 to Ross Lake Park
where a short Ceremony.
2. This Friday, May 27 th during WIN times: Male Students will report directly to the library at
the beginning of WIN Class to listen to guest speakers.
3. Next Tuesday, May 31st during WIN times: Female students will report directly to the
library during WIN class to listen to guest speakers.

Reminder that Beaverton Jr/Sr High School Graduation is tonight @ 7pm. Seniors report to the cafeteria by 6:30pm. For anyone who would like to watch the ceremonies from the comfort of home, we will be broadcasting it live on the Beaverton Jr/Sr High School Facebook page.

2. HS Band and Choir are performing at Graduation on Thursday May 26th. Please report by
6:30 pm in concert attire.
3. The Beaverton Memorial Day Parade is Monday, May 30th @ 1:30 pm. Bands (7-12),
Color guard and Choir meet in the band room at NOON on Monday.
4. A bus will take us to the lineup. The parade route runs east on Brown Street to north M-
18 to Ross Lake Park where a short Ceremony will take place to honor those who have
perished in our nation's wars.

Events Results: The track team was at the JPC championship on Tuesday. Top finishers were:
Noah Coffey 1st in the 100 and long jump and 3rd in the high jump, William Warner 5th in pole
vault, and Taylor McCormack 4th in long jump. The boys team placed 6th overall and the girls
placed 8th.
