1. Jr/Sr Prom Tickets are on sale during lunch until April 29th. Cost: $30 per person and $50 per
couple. Pick up a Guest pass if your date does not attend Beaverton. Guest Passes due April 29 th
also.
2. All 8th, 9th, and 10th graders that are interested in going on the Mackinaw field trip on June 4th,
please remember to get your permission slip and money to Ms. Coughlin before May 11th. If
you did not get a permission slip on Monday, please ask your English teacher, or see Ms.
Coughlin for an extra copy.
3. Yearbooks for this school year can be ordered until Friday, May 27th. However, name-stamped
yearbook orders are due by this Friday, April 29th. See your WIN teacher or Mrs. Jorgensen in
room 146 for a paper order form, or visit www.yearbookforever.com to order online
4. Reminder for any interested 7-8-9th grader: Applications for next year's mentoring program are
due by this Friday 4/29. See your WIN teacher or Mrs. Sprague for the Google Form or more
information on how to apply.
5. Miss Beaverton Pageant will be June 25 th . There will be 2 nights of practice each week starting in
May and into June. Please give Dawn Swartzmiller or Kim Keeley a call to tell them that you are
interested so they can get your name down. And also give them a call with any questions you
may have. More information is available in the office.
6. Juniors: We will begin decorating for Prom on Monday, May 2nd beginning @ 5 pm at the
Gladwin Community Arena. Bring a ladder and be ready to work.
7. Girls interested in joining the volleyball team next year should attend the interest meeting on
Wednesday, during lunch time. Go get your lunch first, then report to the library.
8. Spring sports pictures are Friday the 29th. Coaches will hand out order envelopes at practice and
students can also pick one up in the hallway outside of the office.

Events Results: The track team competed in the Trent Carter Invitational at Breckenridge on
Saturday. Medalists for the Beavers included: Tessa Wohlschlegel in the 1600, Taylor
McCormack, Karley Fischer, Grace Danielak and Faith Danielak in the 4x400 relay, Noah Coffey in
the 200, long jump, and high jump, Taj Finney in the 110m and 300m hurdles, and Brian
Northrup, Kamdyn Avila, William Warner and Noah Coffey in the 4x100 relay.

Congratulations to the BJSH students who placed at the Spring Art Show this past weekend. Audrey Andrist won the middle school category, along with $50 of prize money with her graphite bird drawing and Vanessa Guzman secured the high school level ribbon and $75 with her painting of Vintage Woman!



You still have time to come out and see the Spring Art Show presented by the Gladwin Area Artist Guild. It goes until 4 PM today at the BAC.. Many Beaverton student's artwork is on display.





Softball beat Grayling 11-6 and 14-8 last night. Baseball lost 6-4 and were leading 4-2 when second game got called after 2 innings. Track is running in Breckenridge this morning. GO RED!

Beaverton Jr/Sr High School Art Students and Ms. Barnett invite you to a Spring Art Show and Sale at the BAC this Saturday from 9:00-4:00!


It was signing day at Beaverton Jr/Sr High School.. Congratulations to Alexis Grove in pursuing her dream of playing softball at Northwood University next fall.. She was surrounded by families and friends as she signed her letter of intent.



Grayling is leaving right now to come down to Beaverton and we're looking at a 4:45 start for today's varsity baseball and softball games. GO RED!

Grayling is having bus issues for the varsity baseball and softball game scheduled in Beaverton this afternoon at 4:00. We are hoping for a delayed start only for today's games. An update will be sent as soon as received from Grayling.

An ancient grudge broke to new mutiny in Mrs. Jorgensen's freshmen English class as students started reading Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet! Students chose parts and acted out the scene.



We are LOVING the new display screens! Students in Mrs. Sprague’s science classes got to use them for presentations in 9th grade science. The 8th grade science students used the whiteboard feature to create a Michigan storm map and locate a weather front!




Softball wins at Birch Run 7-3 and 13-3. Softball and baseball host Grayling tomorrow at 4:00. GO RED!

The track team travelled to Shepherd to run against Shepherd and Pinconning last night. Top finishers for the boys include: Noah Coffey 1st in the 100, high jump and long jump, Taj Finney 1st in the 1600, and the boys 4x100 relay team of Brian Northrup, Kamdyn Avila, William Warner, and Noah Coffey took 1st. For the girls: Taylor McCormack was 3rd in the 100 and long jump, Karley Fischer 3rd in the 400, and Grace Danielak 1st in the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles. Nice job and GO RED!

Varsity Softball lost to Alpena tonight 9-7 in extra innings and 16-1. JV Softball wins both over Alpena 4-3 and 18-8 in their season opener!

Earlier today, the Jackpine Conference celebrated the All-Academic Teams from each school. Congratulations to the Beaverton Jackpine Conference All-Academic representatives: Hannah Stearns, Sawyer Gerow, Dominick Cornell, Cadence Augustine, Stella Govitz, Alexis Grove, Jenna Armstrong & Taylor Swinson. Each representative received a medal and certificate honoring their hardwork in the classroom.
