
HEY KIDS! FREE HOCKEY! - Youngsters, it's never too late to learn about hockey. In fact, you can get an introduction to the sport for free at "Try Hockey For Fun" on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Gladwin Community Arena. SPOOKY SERENADE: The BJSHS band surprised BES fifth-graders and kindergarteners with a musical appearance this afternoon, performing several Halloween tunes and sounding great doing it. #GoBeavers







TOURNEY TIME: Our volleyball team marches into the postseason next week from the comfy confines of its own home gym, hosting districts at BJSHS. The action kicks off Monday with Meridian squaring off against Beal City. Play continues with a double-header Wednesday featuring the Beavers versus Farwell and Pinconning versus Monday's winner. The championship will then be played Thursday. Per MHSAA rules, all tickets for the tournament will be sold online only. PLAYOFF BOUND: For our varsity football team, the regular season is done, but the playoffs are just beginning. Players gathered today to watch the playoff matchup announcements and celebrate another trip to the postseason. But for this first game, they won't travel far as our own C.W. FISHING IN THREE DIMENSIONS: The STEM students in Mrs. Woodruff's class are wrapping up a project in which they designed and created fishing lures using Computer Aided Design and 3-D printing. Along the way, they had to consider factors like which type of fish would be attracted; which geographical region would best suit their lures; cost to produce the lures and selling price; and challenges and potential improvements in the process. #FishOn #GoBeavers
