Good afternoon Beaverton, It has come to our attention that some folks are not receiving benefits for their Pandemic EBT cards. We are sorry to hear that. EBT benefits are awarded for any month that a student learned virtually. TODAY, We have confirmed that we submitted everything to the state correctly. Listed below are some FAQ's and contacts to assist everyone further. Sorry for any inconvenience. What if I received only a partial payment or no payment at all for a month? • Payment is based on how the student attended classes for the month. Parents/Guardians may submit a reconsideration form if they can verify that the amount received did not match the student’s instructional type. The P-EBT Reconsideration form is available on the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services website or contacting MDHHS through email at MDHHS-PEBT@michigan.gov. How can I check my balance or activity? • Call the EBT customer service number 888-678-8914 or navigate to this link: www.connectebt.com/miebtclient How long do I have to use my P-EBT money? • The card must be used at least once in one year or the benefits will be expunged.

We here at Beaverton Schools are proud to be offering a summer food distribution during June and July. Our food distributions will be each and every Wednesday. On Wednesday, we will be at the Beaverton Junior Senior High School from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and again from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. You can find us behind the building where the orange cones are located. We are looking forward to being able to serve our community's children this summer. We hope to see you on Wednesday!!

Summer Reading Program For Teens at the Gladwin County District Library.

Please be reminded that Thursday, June 3rd and Friday, June 4th are half days of school. Elementary releases at 11:30am and the Junior Senior High School releases at 11:45am. Have a great evening!

SCHEDULE CHANGE! Start time for tonight's Class of 2021 Graduation has changed to 6pm rather than 7pm. Please notify all of your guests of the change. If it is only a light rain, we will still hold graduation. Dress appropriately for the weather. Don’t forget graduation will be broadcast live on the BJSHS Facebook page. #GoBeavers

Good morning Beaverton, The new order from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services order concerning face masks when indoors has caused a lot of discussion. It states that if you are fully vaccinated, then you need not wear a mask indoors. However, we have several situations that do NOT allow us to have individuals unmasked indoors, even if you are fully vaccinated. First, our Extended Continuity of Learning Plan adopted by the Beaverton Schools Board of Education indicates that we will follow the advice/orders of our Central Michigan Health Department and they state that we must stay the course with current masking while in the school buildings. Finally, after advice from Thrun Law Firm, along with researching the orders from MIOSHA, the CDC, the Central Michigan Health Department and enacting common policies within our local districts at the Clare Gladwin RESD; we must continue to mask up while indoors even if you are fully vaccinated. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/schools-childcare/operation-strategy.html Thank you for your understanding.
