The State of Michigan is asking that every school district to again offer the PSAT to any current 9th to 11th grade student and the SAT to any current 12th grade student. These tests are optional. If you are interested in taking either test, the deadline to turn in your parent signed form or complete the google survey is tomorrow, Monday September 13th. Beavers lose to Clare 42-7 in a hard fought game and in front of a nice home crowd. Thank you to Mid Michigan College for the tailgate and halftime festivities. Bleacher Creatures and the Pep Band provided a great atmosphere. Beavers host Meridian next Friday. GO RED!

If you are entering the library for any reason today you must wear a mask. Thank you! 3. Cross Country opened their season up today in Roscommon: Tessa Wohlschlegel was 4th out of 22 with a time of 23:02. In the boys varsity race Taj Finney was 11th with 20:35 and Payton Corrigan was 24th with 24:59. JV Football loses 34-6 vs. Shepherd and Varsity Football travels to Shepherd for a 7:00 kick off. Varsity Volleyball hosts a quad this Friday at 10:00 am with Central Montcalm, Alma and Ogemaw Heights. GO RED!

It’s that time of year again! I want to welcome everyone back to school and remind you we start tomorrow. It is a full day of school. We are very excited to have students back in the building. Any student who has CTE classes, we will have a meeting tomorrow @ 1030am for morning CTE students and again at 12:15pm for afternoon CTE students. Morning CTE students are not required to be at school until 10:30am and Afternoon CTE students can leave after the 12:15 meeting. Finally, if you were unable to pick up your chromebook, it will be available tomorrow at school, but you must have a guardian and student signed form before it will be issued. Are you ready for some football, Beaverton Fans? Season begins tonight with the JV Football Team hosting Lake City @ 6:30 and the Varsity team travels to Lake City this Thursday for a 7:00 kick off. Please note for tonight's game, we will be selling Athletic Passes at the Ticket Gate. Family passes are $125, Single Pass $75 and Student Pass is $50. Please pay for passes with cash or a check made out to: Beaverton Schools. Single game admission is $5/person. Looking forward to a great season and GO RED!

MIDDLE SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY PRACTICE: Middle School competitions consist of either a 1 mile or 2 mile race. For practice, meet and get picked up at the track. Runner must present coach with physical or green card in order to practice.  Monday, August 23rd: 4:45-6:00 Tuesday, August 24th: 4:45-6:00 Wednesday- No practice  Thursday, August 25th: 4:45-6:00 Once school begins, practices will take place after school from 3:45-5:00 on Monday-Thursday. Students may stay after school until practice begins.  Below is a link to the cross country schedule. Middle school runners will run in all of the meets during the week. Saturday races are optional and parents are responsible for transportation if their child chooses to run in a Saturday invite. Practices are in elementary gym and wear knee pads!  Monday, August 23rd: 5:45-7:30 p.m. (Must bring physical in order to practice. If you got your physical done at the school, no need to bring a copy) Tuesday, August 24th: 6:00-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 25th: 6:30-7:45 (Open House from 4:30-6:30) Thursday, August 26th: 6:00-7:30 Friday:  no practice First week of school: Practice at elementary gym from 3:30-5:00 Monday-Thursday *For all practices, students can be dropped off & picked up by the outside doors to the elementary gym*
